Presbyopia Management
in guarding against reading difficulties
IGARD specializes in managing reading difficulties and visual problems at close-range distances. It can occur commonly in people above the age of 40 as presbyopia develops (This is not the same as hyperopia).
Corrective options for presbyopia include spectacles and contact lenses, but more importantly a specific optical prescription from an optometrist will be necessary to correct for close-range vision. In many instances, far and intermediate-range vision should also be corrected.
It is also important to use the right choice of spectacle lenses for your specific visual requirement, particularly for difficulties whilst reading, doing computer work and for many other specific occupations.
- Corrective Options for Presbyopia:
Presbyopia Management is included as part of the Standard Eye Examination.
Our optometrist will customise an optical prescription for your specific visual condition, visual requirement and choice of lenses that they would prescribe and dispense.
